Each month I would like to just share a few things that helped me get through the tough times. This Month I want to share a few books that I found helpful in my road to recovery. I also want to share a video that really gets me going and hopefully it will get you going as well.
Before we get into that, I would like to talk a little on success and why I believe that the will to be successful is important. Dictionary.com describes success this way:I will agree 100% with that definition. In order to be successful, you have to achieve a goal and in order to achieve a goal, you have to set one. Your goals should be high! One of the books I am going to recommend is the 10x Rule by Grant Cardone. I learned from him that if you set your goals 10x higher than you originally planned and work 10x harder, you may not reach your goal but you will end up a lot better off the you shoot for at first. If your goal is to make $1000 dollars a month, aim for $10,ooo and work like that is your goal. If you only end up making $5,000 a month you still achieved much more than you originally thought you could. Aim high my friends.
To me success is more than dollars and nice things. Through my journey I have met tons of people who I would consider successful that were working paycheck to paycheck. I had many coaches who didn’t have a nice car or huge house but what the did have was a great family, the respect of the community, and an impact on countless players the have come across. You tell me who is more successful, the man with all the money but no friends or the man with no money and all the respect?
What is your definition of success?
What are your goals?
Do your actions point to your goals?
Each Month I will have a couple of book I will recommend. I know it is hard to find time to read each day so I highly recommend getting the audio book if possible.
The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone
This book does a great job of gettng you to expect more out of yourself and set your goals high.
The Power of Positive Thinking
While this book is kind of a boring and slow read, I still highly recommend it. The mind has powerful effects on the body and when you get your mind thinking positive all the time you will be amazed at what you can do.
The Art of the Deal by Donald Trump
So I am probably going to cach some slack over this but oh well. I believe Trump is the epitimy of American success and there is a lot we can learn from him.
To close, I want to leave you with a video that I love to watch. After watching it, ask yourself, how bad do you want to be successful?
